Sharon has been the best source of help when it comes to coding. The way she simplified things and made sure I understood everything I encountered has been a life saver. She taught me how to break down the coding and how to utilize a patient’s chart correctly which helped reduce the times I’ve spent on each claim. She taught me how to maneuver sites/resources to lookup codes or find answers in general. I struggled with E/M codes, they’re extremely important and tricky. She introduced a chart that helps assign the correct codes. Sharon’s professional experience as a coder and nurse truly helps with the way she teaches coding. As a beginner, it’s refreshing to have encountered someone that can teach both sides of coding. Sharon is someone I continue to go to whenever I have any coding related questions/issues.

I have worked with Sharon Trinidad in Outpatient/ Inpatient coding since April 6, 2006. Corliss McQueen was my instructor for the CPC program through my employer. Corliss was very prompt, always ready to start class and ensure each student had all the necessary material to learn. Corliss years of experience in Coding was evident in the way she taught the class, she is knowledgeable, patient and always willing to help. I then signed up for her to privately tutor me and after weeks I successfully passed my exam and became a Certified Professional Coder! You are worth every dollar I spent and more…I’m glad I invested in myself!

I took a coding class with CM Coding under the instruction of Corliss McQueen. This was my second time taking this course. The second time that I took the class under Mrs. McQueen I had a better understanding and felt a lot more confident with coding. She went above and beyond to make sure that myself and also the class comprehended what we were doing. She was willing to take out time to meet after class, before class and on other days at a different location, even took calls to make sure we understood what was being taught in her class. Mrs. McQueen motivated me to continue and not give up when I felt that coding was too hard for me to do. Mrs. McQueen is a great teacher and I would recommend her to anyone that interest in taking this class. The only thing that I would suggest is that she use the textbook a little more than she did, however I still had all the information that was needed to understand this course.

I decided to take the CPC class with Corliss after speaking with her via telephone. She had a welcoming personality and I instantly felt comfortable with her. The class material was on point with teaching the fundamentals of medical coding. When she saw me struggling in areas, she took time in and outside of class to help in any way she could. To this day she is still checking on me asking how things are going. Great class and Instructor.

I was looking to make a career change and wanting to stay in the medical field. A friend of mine referred me to Ms Corliss when I chose medical coding to persue. Her class was so personalized to my learning style. She is very knowledgeable in healthcare science because of her personal work histories. She provided learning material with hypothetical coding cases and gave precise direction how to effectively code. She also gave crucial study tips and guided me to resources that I used to pass my exam.
